Whether you’re staying in a neighboring town or just visiting the Outer Banks for a day, our 24 Hours In series will highlight the best places you have to visit in just a short amount of time. Eat + Drink

Corolla is home to many great local little restaurants so it’s hard to choose just a couple. However, if you only have 24 hours in Corolla, we highly recommend Lighthouse Bagels. With choices of plain, whole wheat, cinnamon raisin and more; these homemade bagels will be sure to please everyone. Plus, Outer Banks Coffee is in the same shopping center so you can get your caffeine fix too!

When lunchtime rolls around, visit Corolla Cantina! With options like fish tacos, coconut chicken, and amazing speciality drinks, Corolla Cantina is definitely a must visit if you only have 24 hours in Corolla!

When it’s beer:30, make sure to visit the Corolla Beer & Wine Garden. With over 60 craft beers and wine, a super laid back enviornment, and plenty of fun for the whole family, The Beer Garden has to be a visit during your 24 hours in this little town!

Play

Take some time to explore historic Corolla village. With amazing little shops, history, and prime photo spots; there’s so much to see in Corolla village. Get a refreshing smoothie at The Juice Jar or even buy a new book at Island Bookstore. Plus, Corolla Village is right next to the lighthouse and the Whalehead Club.

The Timbuck II shopping center has everything you need in one convenient location! Stores like the Cotton Gin, Gray’s, and Kitty Hawk Kites are bound to have really cool OBX apparel and souvenirs to take home to your loved ones. You can even grab a sweet treat at Corolla Cupcakes or the Fudgery! If you only have 24 hours, Timbuck II shopping center is the place to go.

If You Have Time…

Try to schedule a wild horse tour and see some of Corollas’ oldest residents! You’re not guaranteed to see the horses, but if you have the time, seeing them is quite the experience!
